A few weeks ago, I ran into India‘s mum, Lesley, at the knitting shop where she works. I couldn’t believe she was there, but at the same time it made sense; she was sitting and knitting with her coworkers and friends, trying to inject a bit of normality into her life, I expect. But her voice shook with every word and her eyes had tears at the ready.
I didn’t know what to say, because I knew things weren’t good. So I asked her how she was, she said ‘I’m very sad.’
Of course, of course.
She has a blog where she writes beautifully and (brutally) honestly about life with a very sick child. The most recent entry, from September 18, will break your heart.
