Immediacy.

(Holidailies #10)
I’m driving to work, intended to be at work for 9:30 (it is 9:10 right now), but the Golden Globe nominations are being announced so I am glued to my computer. I can’t check Twitter at stop lights, but I might be tempted to. I am hooked.

This is dumb for a number of a reasons:

1. This ‘news’ is only important in a work context, kinda.
2. It doesn’t matter if I tweet about it before I get to work or after.
3. I’m not even watching the televised nomination ceremony, but STARING AT A VERY SLOWLY UPDATING TWITTER FEED.

Nuts to this. I’m out. I’ll stop for a coffee and check the IMDb for updates while I’m in the queue.
