#100BM Day 45

Hamish was on a wee walkabout when I got home. He had demanded to go outside, then it started raining, so he hid somewhere and missed my arrival. When I went to the back porch a few minutes later, he was there and looked at me dumbfounded. I scooped him up and he started purring like an engine motor and kneading my shoulder.

He has only left my side to eat his dinner. We had an accidental two-hour nap just now. He is still snoozing contentedly.

Apparently, while I was away, he started overgrooming his belly again, so the vet’s assessment that he might be stressed out or anxious seems to be at least partly correct. I might have to try out Feliway or similar before I head to the other side of the chilly northern seas next month. Poor old creature.

Also managed to change a tube on my bike this afternoon. It only took me about 20 minutes, which is pretty great, since I think last time I bothered doing it myself (a couple of years ago), it took double that. Hopefully, I won’t have to worry about breaking that record for a while yet.

Boring even myself now. Maybe I’ll go back to sleep.
