Standard

This has been the worst allergy season I’ve head in a long time.

I’m not especially snotty, or even congested, but the constant itching, especially in my left under-eye sinus (I’m sure there’s a technical term for this, but I’m too lazy to look it up right now) and left ear, is driving me bananas. Aside from a nightly Benedryl, I have had to stop taking antihistamines (I’ve tried Aerius, Claritin, and Advil Cold & Sinus so far) because they prevent my sleeping, long after the ’12 hour’ dose is supposed to have been used up. And I need a lot of sleep because I am so fucking tired all the time. I’m getting small rashes on my hands. I’m choking on air. I feel muddled and so, so stupid. I haven’t been able to run much, and when I do, it goes terribly. Basically, this August can suck it.

Had to do an emergency cat food run this morning (was too lazy to do that last night – lethargy is also part of my immune system giving up) and now my left eye is slowly swelling shut because of all the crap in the air.

It’s going to be a GREAT day, y’all.

Curious. I have a neti pot, but it doesn’t seem to get deep enough to get rid of the itch. Maybe I will check this out.
