Continuing exhaustion is impeding any concrete creativity today, but a customer did cite the schedule on our website in an email to ask whether a film listed as playing next week was actually playing next week and I toyed with the idea of telling him that no, our whole schedule was a lie and just for show because that’s how we roll and that spreading misinformation is a surefire way for a cinema to make money.

But I’m not a good liar and should probably be at least a little bit polite to people who might give us money.

Which is why I left the other email outlining how our programming sucks (paraphrasing) compared to a couple of years ago (all of the writers ‘educated’ friends think so) for my boss to answer.
